COMMON QUESTIONS
Do clubs pay anything?
No. Clubs, coaches, players, and parents all use Groundr for free. The league pays the Pro subscription. Transaction fees apply when payments are processed through the platform, but leagues can pass those costs on to clubs through registration fees if they choose.
Do referees pay anything?
No. Referees use Groundr for free. They receive their match fees directly to their bank account (via Stripe Connect) with no deductions from their end. The transaction fee is charged to the club paying the fee.
Can I switch payment providers mid-season?
Yes. You can change your payment provider at any time. Existing payment records and statements are preserved regardless of which provider you switch to.
What happens to my data if I don't renew?
Your data is retained for 12 months after your subscription lapses. You can export everything to CSV at any time, including fixtures, results, payments, and member data. We'll never hold your data hostage.
Is there a long-term contract?
No. Pro is a per-season subscription. Pay at the start of the season, use it all year. No automatic renewal without your consent.
Early access leagues — what do they get?
The 20 pilot leagues for Season 2026–27 get free Pro access for the entire season, white-glove onboarding (we personally migrate your data), and a direct line to the product team. In return, we ask for honest feedback and a willingness to test new features as they ship.
